April – June 1: Community Bank will be accepting can/bottles with the funds going to the Relay for Life. Just drop them off at the bank! If you would like to have the cans/bottles picked up, please contact Community Bank at 676-5745.
May 8 – 11; HHS Green House Plant Sale at the HHS Green House: Stop by and check it out: Wed.-Thurs (5/8-9) from 3:30-6p.m.; Fri-Sat (5/10-11) from 11am-6pm. They will have hanging baskets, bedding plants, patio boxes, house plants, herb gardens, vegetables. Great Mothers Day Gifts!
Thursday, May 9th – 6 p.m. Heppner FFA Banquet at Morrow County Fairgrounds: Everyone is welcome! There is no charge for the dinner! You are invited to come and help celebrate the accomplishments of our FFA members and community members that have been incredibly supportive of the chapter!
Friday, May 10th - First Friday Friends of Jesus will be held on the 2nd Friday for this month: Held at All Saints Episcopal Church from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. including lunch for ages 4 -12.
Saturday, May 11 – 3rd Annual Heppner Baseball Texas Hold’em Tournament: Sign ups are from 5:30-6:30 p.m., with play starting at 6:30 p.m. Buy-in $40 – held at the Heppner Elks Club – no host food or beverages; all players must be 21 years or older!
Sunday, May 12 - 8-10 a.m.: Community Breakfast – United Methodist Church: The Men will be cooking in honor of Mother’s Day; they will be serving Eggs, Sausage, Pancakes and Biscuits.
Friday, May 17th, Donkey Basketball Game at Heppner High School sponsored by Heppner FFA: Presale tickets are available at HES and HHS for $4 (K-6th), $6 (7th-12th grade) $8 (adult). The tickets are $1 more at the door. The game will start at 7 p.m. but there will be a “petting zoo” at 6 p.m. for families to come and enjoy before the game.
Thursday, May 23rd from 9a.m.-12p.m. – Free Notary Public Educational Seminar: This seminar is offered by the Secretary of State and is free of charge to the public. To register, call 503-986-2200.
June 12 – Community Farmer’s Market will be opening for the season at Heppner City Park from 10am-2pm. If you are interested in being a vendor, please contact Margaret Flaherty at 541-676-5972.
Friday, June 14 – Celebrate Heppner Event: There will be more information soon, but hold the dates on your calendar and plan on participating!
Saturday, June 15 – Jackpot Blue Mountain Livestock Show: Market confirmation show for market sheep/goats with weigh in from 7-11 a.m.; showing @12p.m. in the Old Beef Barn at the Morrow County Fairgrounds. For more information contact Nancy Gorham at 541-701-4167 or email at nancygorham@ymail.com.

Fundraisers for Relay for Life:
- · Community Bank is seeking recipes for a cookbook. The submissions should be from those that are fighting or in honor of those who have lost their fight with cancer. We need to have all submissions by May 21st to get them into the cookbook. The book will be available for purchase when it is completed!

Monday, July 22nd – United Way Charity Golf Tournament: Join in the 5th Annual United Way Charity Golf Tournament, high noon shotgun start at Wildhorse Championship Golf Course; benefiting the communities of Umatilla and Morrow Counties.
